I am interested in which manufacturers have finishing mowers with a mulching kit avail. John Deere is the only one that I know that makes one but they are extremely proud. $2200 with mulcher.Thanks

I dunno about the mulcher,but it seems ALL of the manufacturers are EXTREMELY PROUD of their finishing mowers.I can't see 2k in a mower.Heck I only paid 4.6k for the tractor so my mower will be almost half as much as the doggoned tractor!!!! But that being said,I guess the old adage applies,if ya wanna dance,ya gotta pay the fiddler.So I guess I'll work some overtime and buy me one,eventually...Keith ....

I'm sure I'll get hammered for this, but if it makes you feel any better. When looking at a new Kubota B2400, I think the 54" belly mower was a ~$2700.00 option. ....

MLS is right. I just got a Kubota 2400 and the belly mower was approximately $2700. I opted for a Befco 60" rear discharge 3-pt finishing mower for a tad less than you quote but without a mulching kit although, according to Befco's literature, they are available. After using it for a while I am extremely happy with the performance of the mower but, like you, I think I will investigate the possibility of adding a mulching kit unless anyone has some better idea on how to pick up the grass clippings. ....
